Cursor and Marblo

A Cursor alternative for orchestrating an agent team

Choose around the work you need to manage. Cursor is an AI editor and coding agent. Marblo coordinates multiple agents. You can keep your editor and add orchestration when the work calls for it.

Two ways to organize development

Both support parallel agent work. The useful question is which workflow you want to own: coding in an editor, or coordinating a team of agents.

When to use each

Choose Cursor for work close to the code

Start with Cursor when you want to read, write, and refine code in an AI editor. Its agent and worktree features also let you delegate work while staying in that environment.

Choose Marblo for coordinating an agent team

Consider Marblo when separate tickets need different agents, isolated work, and a shared review process. You keep responsibility for scope and final approval.

Use Cursor and Marblo together

A suggested Git workflow. It does not mean there is a built-in Cursor integration.

  1. Define the work

Split the change into reviewable tickets. Choose an owner and acceptance checks for each.

  2. Delegate, then inspect

Run the tickets in Marblo. Open the relevant checkout in Cursor to read the diff or make a targeted edit. Coordinate edits so two agents do not write to the same checkout at once.

  3. Verify and approve

Run the checks, inspect the result, and approve at the review gate before merging. Keep one tool responsible for each checkout and its lifecycle.

Questions about a Cursor alternative

Does Marblo replace the Cursor editor?

Marblo is an orchestrator. Choose it for coordinating agents, and use Cursor when you want an AI editor. You can use both in a Git workflow.

Can Cursor run agents in parallel too?

Yes. Cursor documents parallel cloud agents and isolated worktrees. Rather than parallel execution itself, compare how you want to assign and review work.

Which agents can I coordinate in Marblo?

The priority agents are Claude · Codex · Grok. BYOM connections include GLM · Ollama. Check the current product for what is available.

Are the subscriptions directly comparable?

Compare the total cost for your workflow. Marblo separates the subscription from AI usage. Cursor plan inclusions and third-party model charges vary. Review both pricing pages before choosing.

Is using both an official integration?

The workflow above is a suggested way to use Git checkouts with both tools. It does not imply a native integration or a partnership.

Try orchestration on a real task

Start with a small change you can review. Keep the editor that fits your coding work.
